Visiting Angels, N. Attleboro was founded in 2001 by Rich and Peg Schaltegger. The personal experience of taking care of their own aging mothers is what motivated them to get into the home care business. They learned, first hand, just how difficult it is to find good caregivers, ones they would feel comfortable bringing into the mother’s own home.

Taking care of an aging parent can be stressful and sometimes nursing homes or retirement centers seem to be the only options for care. Visiting Angels' in-home care for the elderly allows people to maintain the independence of their daily routines and familiar surroundings. We can help your loved ones avoid the emotional trauma of leaving their cherished home.

Our experienced staff follows strict hiring policies to ensure that your Visiting Angel is experienced and is of strong moral character. The caregivers, either Certified Nurses Assistants or other compassionate individuals, perform a great many different tasks such as: light house cleaning, Laundry, medication reminders, companionship, assisting with hygiene, providing help with errands, and even, with a family’s permission, attending doctor appointments and taking notes.

You will have the opportunity to interview any caregiver that we refer to you for homecare service. Because we are a non-medical agency and not a nursing agency, Visiting Angels home care service does not dictate to you what your schedule is to be (i.e. what time to wake up, when to bathe, meal schedules etc.). It is our job to adjust to your schedule and to keep your loved one comfortable in their home.

Keri, Samantha, Cindy, or Michelle personally meets with prospective clients and families to do free detailed needs assessment. This visit also provides an opportunity for our clients to meet us to see if we are the right agency for them.
